Find Your Perfect Fit

Barefoot shoes fit differently from conventional footwear. Use our guide to find the size that lets your feet move the way nature intended.

How to Measure Your Foot

1
Stand on a piece of paper placed against a wall, with your heel touching the wall. Make sure you are standing upright with your full weight on the foot.
2
Mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel on the paper. Use a pen or pencil held straight down.
3
Measure the distance between the two marks in centimeters. Use a ruler or tape measure on a flat surface.
4
Use the chart below to find your size. Match your foot length in cm to the closest size in our conversion tables.

Tip: Measure both feet and use the larger measurement. It is normal for one foot to be slightly bigger.

Tip: Measure in the afternoon or evening when your feet are at their largest, as feet naturally swell throughout the day.

Barefoot Fit Tips

Leave about a thumb's width (1-1.5 cm) between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.

Your toes should be able to spread naturally — if they feel compressed, size up.

Barefoot shoes should feel snug around the midfoot and heel, but spacious in the toe box.

Between sizes? We always recommend sizing UP for barefoot shoes.

New to barefoot? Start with our most flexible styles and gradually increase wear time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my size is between two sizes?

We recommend sizing up. Barefoot shoes work best with a little extra toe room. This allows your toes to spread naturally and gives you a more comfortable fit throughout the day.

Do JOYO shoes run true to size?

Yes, our shoes generally run true to size. If you have wider feet, consider sizing up for extra comfort in the toe box.

Can I return shoes that don't fit?

Yes! We offer 30-day hassle-free returns on all unworn shoes in their original packaging. See our Return Policy for full details.

How should barefoot shoes fit differently from regular shoes?

Barefoot shoes should feel more spacious in the toe area while fitting snugly around the midfoot. There should be about 1 cm of space in front of your longest toe. Unlike conventional shoes, your toes should be able to splay and move freely.
