Be Lenka Delight: when you want a ballet flat
The manufacturer describes Delight as a knitted barefoot ballet flat for spring and summer and provides inner-length and width measurements by size. That makes it a useful candidate when you want to compare a dressier shape using numbers, rather than a generic “wide fit” label.
Our buying consideration: a slip-on has less fastening adjustment than a lace-up. During an indoor try-on, check whether the heel lifts and whether the shoe stays on without you gripping with your toes. We have not tested its heel retention or its fit on different foot volumes.

Xero markets the women's HFS II as a road-running shoe with a mesh upper and laces. Use the model page as a starting point if that is the activity you are shopping for. Its intended use is different from a ballet flat or a boot.

Our buying consideration: a collection is not a single specification. Two models from the same brand can have different materials, soles and closures. Open the exact model before comparing it with a shoe from another company. We have not established a brand-wide width or fit rating.

Five checks that make a shortlist useful
- Measure both feet. Record length and width using the brand's measuring instructions. Keep the units visible when comparing charts.
- Read what the chart measures. “Foot length” and “inner shoe length” are different. If the chart already recommends a size from foot length, do not automatically add extra space again.
- Check shape as well as width. A broad toe area does not tell you how the midfoot, instep or heel will fit. If the brand gives no width measurement, mark it as unknown rather than guessing from a photo.
- Check the fastening. Laces and straps offer different adjustment from slip-ons. Try the shoe with the socks you intend to use.
- Keep the return option usable. Read the retailer's indoor try-on rules before wearing the shoes outside. Confirm whether discounted items have different conditions.

Compare the delivered cost, wherever you live
A price on a foreign storefront may not be your final cost. Before paying, check the destination country, displayed currency, delivery charge, any import charges shown by the retailer, and the cost of returning a pair that does not fit. A cheaper pair can be an expensive experiment when international returns are difficult.
Save the model name, selected size, chart and return terms with your order information. If you are comparing two shops, compare the same model and version. A similar name can refer to a different generation of the shoe.

Which women's barefoot shoe is best for wide feet?
This shortlist does not establish a widest or best-fitting winner. Look for a model-specific width chart, compare it with your measurements and check returns. A “wide toe box” description alone is not enough to confirm the fit.
Can a barefoot shoe look suitable for work?
